South Kenton (Bakerloo Line Underground and Overground Watford DC Lines) Station, London, 26 April 2022. The station was opened in 1933 by the LMS on the self-contained Euston - Watford DC electrified line, which was also used by LT's Bakerloo Line services. The architect was William Henry Hamlyn. It was a very constricted site and the only station building was a combined ticket office and waiting room (pictured) in Streamlined Moderne style on the platform. The access was initially via a footbridge but this was later replaced by a pedestrian subway with access both sides. The only indication of the station is a totem signboard and sign above the subway entrance one side, and just a sign above the other entrance!hugh llewelyn / Wikimedia Commons / CC BY-SA 2.0 · Wikimedia Commons · CC BY-SA 2.0

South Kenton: Location and Local Orientation

South Kenton Underground station is recorded by TfL at South Kenton, London Overground Ltd., Windermere Road, Preston, HA9 8RD. Use Windermere Road and postcode HA9 8RD to anchor your taxi or cab enquiry rather than a broad neighbourhood name. Its Underground fare-zone reference is 4; a Tube fare zone does not set the price of a taxi or minicab.

The closest other Underground station positions in this directory are North Wembley (0.91 km), Preston Road (0.94 km), and Northwick Park (1.13 km). Those figures are straight-line distances calculated from TfL coordinates, not walking routes, station interchanges or journey-time estimates.

The published station postcode falls in the Brent local-authority area (Preston ward). These postcode boundaries are administrative references; use your actual street destination when arranging a minicab.

Named Places Around South Kenton

Named green-space landmarks around South Kenton include Northwick Park (playing field, approximately 0.09 km to the mapped boundary); The Church of the Annunciation (religious grounds, approximately 0.21 km to the mapped boundary); Preston Park (playing field, approximately 0.23 km to the mapped boundary). These are straight-line distances derived from the TfL station position and Ordnance Survey’s April 2026 mapped site polygons. A boundary can be much closer than a usable entrance: these figures do not describe walking routes, road access or a place for a driver to wait.

If your journey ends at Northwick Park, give its own entrance or street address when booking. A taxi booking for the Underground station identifies a different destination from the surrounding park, grounds or sports site. Confirm visitor arrangements with the site before travelling. Tube Connections at South Kenton

South Kenton is served by Bakerloo line. The line name gives your operator a useful cross-check alongside the station address. Bakerloo: North Wembley and Kenton are the neighbouring named stops shown around South Kenton in TfL’s route sequences.

Check current branches, stopping patterns and planned work with TfL before choosing an onward Tube connection or cab.

Luggage, Access and Your Minicab Meeting Point

Use the current TfL station guide to check the access route that suits your party. This station’s captured record does not provide a sufficiently clear facility summary to infer a complete step-free route. Avoid treating a map pin as proof that a car can reach the exact entrance you will use.

For a minicab at South Kenton, give your actual entrance or nearby address, arrival line and luggage count. Agree a permitted road meeting place; the station address and photograph are location references, not waiting instructions.

Airport Taxi Planning from South Kenton

For an airport cab from South Kenton, start with the station collection address and the airport terminal, rather than only “London airport”. Piccadilly Circus is an example of a Piccadilly-line interchange shared with the Bakerloo network; use TfL’s planner to compare that rail option on the day. A dispatcher must separately confirm the road journey, price, vehicle and any airport charges.

Local Taxi & Minicab Questions

Where Should I Identify My South Kenton Taxi Pick-up?

Use South Kenton, London Overground Ltd., Windermere Road, Preston, HA9 8RD as the station reference, then agree the precise road meeting point and entrance with the operator. Include the entrance you will use when arranging the collection. Agree the meeting place before travel.

Which Tube Lines and Neighbouring Stops Help Identify South Kenton?

The station is listed for Bakerloo. Bakerloo route context includes North Wembley and Kenton. Check current stopping patterns and branch destinations with TfL.

What Should I Check Before a Minicab Connection with Luggage at South Kenton?

Check the current station access information rather than assuming that an Underground entrance is step-free. Tell the operator your passengers, bags and any practical accessibility or child-seat requirements. Ask the dispatcher to confirm vehicle suitability separately from station access.

Is Northwick Park the Same Collection Address As South Kenton Station?

No. OS lists Northwick Park in its playing field category, with its boundary approximately 0.09 km in a straight line from the TfL station position. That does not identify a visitor entrance or a permitted road meeting point. Specify the station or the site and agree the actual street address.
